NLP is yet another approach I use. NLP is the acronym for Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). NEURO because all of our experiences, both conscious and subconscious, are derived through and from our senses and central nervous system. LINGUISTIC because our mental processes are also coded, organized, given meaning and transformed through language. PROGRAMMING because people interact as a system in which experience and communication are composed of sequences of patterns or “programs.”

NLP is a unique model of how people learn, motivate themselves, and change their behavior to achieve excellence in any endeavor. NLP uses “modeling” and “strategies” as two of its core tools. Basically, this means looking at how highly successful people or “models” achieve their success. Which internal strategies do they use? These strategies are then distilled into handy tools that other people can use to achieve similar success.

NLP allows you to change, adopt or eliminate behaviors, as you desire, and gives you the ability to choose your mental, emotional, and physical states of well-being. NLP helps you learn and grow from every single life experience, thus increasing your ability to create a better quality of life. NLP can help you become adept in whatever is important to you, whether is means getting along better within your relationships or being more effective on the job. NLP aims to move beyond remedial change (fixing specific problems) to ‘generative’ change, which empowers you to achieve more in every area of your life.
